The transfer window remains open for two more weeks, and calls for Manchester United to strengthen further have intensified following their 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace.
New boy Donny van de Beek scored for the Red Devils, but the loss saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admit they need fresh blood, and Luke Shaw lead calls to Ed Woodward for reinforcements.
That came as Tottenham sealed two transfers, with players who had both been linked to United.
Sergio Reguilon, the Spain international left-back, and Gareth Bale both sealed moves to Spurs from Real Madrid – having been spoken about previously by United chiefs.
Dele Alli could leave Spurs, with PSG circling after he was again left out at Southampton.
Liverpool too were active, landing world class midfield operator Thiago Alcantara before shocking fans with the swift acquisition of Diogo Jota from Wolves.
Now a number of players’ futures are uncertain, with a stacked midfield and frontline.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are closing in on a new goalkeeper – and Kepa Arrizabalaga’s latest error will only have persuaded them that they are right to do so.
Wolves are closing in on Barcelona’s Nelson Semedo, while Arsenal continue to push for Lyon’s Houssem Aouar – the question is whether they can get funds together to get a deal over the line.
There promises to be plenty more deals being done this week and we’ll keep you up to date as they come in.
