Wayne Rooney ‘made crude joke about his sex life’ at Soccer Aid party

Wayne Rooney made a very rude joke about his sex life with wife Coleen – or lack of it – at a Soccer Aid party, it has been claimed.

According to The Sun, Wayne let loose as he mingled with celebs at astar-studded bash that followed the annual charity football match held earlier this month.

A source said of Rooney, who has been married to childhood sweetheart Coleen for 12 years: “The party was in full swing and Wayne clearly enjoyed himself when he got there. He was very relaxed. One of the runners chatted to him and then went around saying she heard Wayne say he had not had sex for ages.

“She said she was unsure if he was joking or not but he probably was. She then went off and repeated it to a group of people, including members of the production and Unicef teams. Most people were laughing about it,” they claimed.

Wayne, 34, is said to be drinking with guests including comedian Jason Manford and ex footballers Robbie Keane and Wes Brown, who were also involved in the Unicef event at Old Trafford.

“No one took it too seriously and some questioned if the runner had her wires crossed. But Wayne was being gossiped about, whatever happened,” the source added.

While another source told the paper that Wayne did not make the comment.

The allegations come after Manchester City legend Yara Toure made a public apology for an ‘inappropriate joke’ he made that saw him dropped by the charity event days before kick off.

A report claimed the 37-year-old star was asked to leave the team hotel after posting content on a group message chat which offended his fellow squad members.

Toure was due to play for the Rest of the World team but was told his services were no longer required.

He later admitted his mistake and apologised on social media.

“I would like to apologise to everyone involved in Soccer Aid for an inappropriate joke I deeply regret,” he wrote.

“It was meant as a joke however I lacked thorough consideration for the feelings of other participants.

“That being said I deleted the jokes within minutes and I immediately apologised to all inside the group.

We gather for a good cause and this deviates the focus of the game which is to bring everyone together to help children around the world.

“It’s sad to see an inappropriate joke I made attract the attention which should be fully devoted to the beauty of the charity game.

“Regardless of the circumstances, I want to take full responsibility. I am a grown man who should not be engaged in such jokes.

“I am very sorry for my mistake and I wish everyone all the best with Soccer Aid on Sunday in raising awareness and funds for important causes.”
