Denise Richards parted ways with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after a challenging season full of shock, betrayal and an alleged affair with former housewife Brandi Glanville.
And while Denise spent the better part of the season defending keeping her personal life out of the limelight, her ex-husband Charlie Sheen denied having any influence in her decision to leave the popular Bravo program.
Sheen, 55, told Page Six that his ex ‘does what she wants’ and harbored no animosity toward Richards. The former couple have two children together — Sam, 16, and Lola, 15 — from their four year marriage which ended more than one decade ago.
Talk about it: Denise spent the better part of the season defending keeping her personal life out of the limelight, and her ex-husband Charlie Sheen denied having any influence in her decision to leave the popular Bravo program
‘She does what she wants in these matters,’ he said through his publicist Jeffrey Ballard, and added, ‘And I applaud her decision of ‘one and done.’
Richards had previously consulted with Charlie to get his expert opinion before deciding to join the franchise in 2019.
‘I did talk to him about it because as an actor in this business, I respect his opinion too. So I said, “What do you think?” and he said, “I think it could be really cool,”‘ she recalled on Radio Andy.
‘Even if he said this is the dumbest thing you ever did, I still would have done the show. But it was interesting to get his side of it because I have a lot of respect for him as the father and being in this business for as many years as he has.’

Kiss and tell: All seemed to be fine for a while but when part-time RHOBH member Brandi Glanville accused her of having a sexual relationship, Denise denied it then lashed out
Denise was a bit of a surprise as a new cast member when she joined in 2019 because she was the only one who had a real Hollywood career with roles in Starship Troopers and Wild Things, and a starring role on The Bold and the Beautiful.
All seemed to be fine for a while but when part-time RHOBH member Brandi Glanville accused her of having a sexual relationship, Denise denied it then lashed out.
Most of her cast members did not support her decision to quell relationship rumors, but rather turned on Richards.
‘She’s answering her truth,’ said Cohen. ‘She has a family and kids. Whatever happened or didn’t happen, I would imagine that it’s something that maybe she didn’t really care to discuss on a television show.’
Still standing: Now that Denise has exited the show, that leaves Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Lisa Rinna and Teddy Mellencamp, among others
