Jamie Laing has no doubt in his mind that he’ll be the one lifting the Glitterball trophy on Strictly Come Dancing this year.

The Made In Chelsea star, 31, boasted that his “rhythm” and “instant talent” are just two of the many reasons why he insists he’ll be crowned as the winner.

Speaking on his 6 Degrees From Jamie and Spencer podcast with pal and former co-star Spencer Matthews, Jamie said he is going to be the champ “without a doubt”.

Known for his larger than life ego at time during his stint on the E4 show, Jamie proved he’s still got a high opinion of himself before even stepping on the dance floor.

And it seems as though Spencer’s money is on Jamie this year – quite literally.

Spencer – who is married to model Vogue Williams – revealed that he’s gone as far as placing a bet on his best mate ahead of the competition.

After Jamie was forced to pull out of last year’s Strictly due to a painful injury at the 11th hour, Spencer thinks this year is Jamie’s year.

He said: “It is great news, I think you’ve got a really good chance. I put an outside bet on you as well.”

To which Jamie – who is godfather to Spencer’s newborn baby – boasted: “What do you mean you put an outside bet on me? You don’t need to put an outside bet on me… obviously, I’m going to win it.”

Spencer then said: “No, no, no I put a bet on you to win it, I basically persuaded them that you’re likely to break your foot again, that you almost certainly won’t win and I’m feeling really generous, here’s the cash.”

Confident Jamie responded: “What’s going to happen with Strictly, right, is without a doubt, I am going to go on it and win it. I’m going to win it without a doubt!”

And when Spencer said that a “good way to think”, Jamie added: “It’s not a good way to think, I just know.

“I’ve got rhythm, instant talent, I told you, I still hold the record for the javelin throw.”
