Fern Britton explored betrayal in love in a social media post after Phil Vickery split.
Her own marriage split was at the centre of the spotlight earlier this year when she and Phil announced they were divorcing after 20 years.
This Morning’s former presenter, 63, re-posted the thoughtful post on her Twitter page on Wednesday.
Reflecting on the post about betrayal in love, Fern added the comment: “This fits so perfectly.”
The original tweet read: “In life, you will fall out with people that you never thought you would. Get betrayed by people you trusted with all of your heart. Get used by people you would do anything for. But life also has a beautiful side to it.
“You will get loved by someone you never thought you would have. Form new friendships with people that will establish more meaningful and stronger relationships. And overcome things you never thought you would get over.
“We all have chapters that end with people at some point in life. But take pride in knowing that the very best part of your book is still being written.”
Shockwaves went through the showbiz circuit when Fern announced she had split from Phil earlier this year.
At the time of the split, they said: “After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways.
“We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children . We would appreciate it if our privacy is respected at this time.
“Thank you for your continued kindness and support.”
The couple had been a power couple on the showbiz circuit for 20 years.
They have their daughter Winnie together who turned 18 earlier this year.
Fern also has three children – Harry, 26, Jack, 26, and Grace, 23 – from her first marriage to Clive Jones.
The newly-single star has been focusing on her writing and her latest book Daughters of Cornwall has since hit the shelves.
In June, the author got candid about her “sad” split from her ex-husband Phil during an interview on daytime TV.
She told Lorraine: “Unfortunately, Phil and I fell apart. And I had this book to write this book and get it out on the deadline…”
She added: “We separated at the beginning of the year and fortunately it’s all smooth.
“We just came to the end of the road, you know, which is sad.”
