Holly Hagan bravely opens up about acne battle after searching for ‘perfection’

Holly Hagan has bravely revealed her battle with acne.
The former Geordie Shore star, 28, says she’s finally learned to “love and accept” herself after turning to drastic diets and surgery in the search for “perfection”.
Holly, who is engaged to footballer Jacob Blyth, opened up about her struggles with beauty dysmorphia after years of being targeted by vile trolls.
The reality beauty, took to Instagram today to share an honest selfie that revealed the acne around her chin and cheeks.
She wrote: “It’s taken a long time for me to learn to love and accept myself. I would have never been able to post a photo like this in the past but now that I can I really want to help others do the same
“That’s why I was so excited to be taking part in @superdrug podcast “The Beauty of it all” with host @vicknhope talking about beauty dysmorphia.
“It’s no secret that I’ve turned to drastic diets and even surgery in a quest for “perfection”.
“It’s been a difficult journey but to be able to share my story and help others is so amazing

Holly looked as stunning as ever in the picture.

Holly has been very open about the way trolling has affected her and was seen on Geordie Shore spin-off Geordie OGs delivering speeches about it to young people.
The star also takes a very honest approach to social media.
She recently warned fans against “dangerous” weight loss jabs that had left her sick.
While she didn’t name the brand, she said that like many of the common ones it contained Saxenda, the brand name of Liraglutide, which is used to treat type two diabetes.
She said: “Instantly I noticed I felt really sick and I didn’t want to eat so for me at the time I thought oh my god this is absolutely amazing, this is something that is going to make me stop eating.”
In a video, Holly showed how she used to inject herself in the stomach and explained that after losing three pounds she kept increasing the dosage to the highest she could in order to lose more weight.
She went on: “I’m injecting copious amounts of this stuff, I’m sometimes injecting it twice a day to try and get the same hit as day one, and it just wasn’t working for me anymore.”
