Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally signed his new contract – and Arsenal will carry on spending.
Gunners striker Aubameyang, 31, announced his new £250,000-a-week three year deal on the club’s social channels with more than 100,000 tuning in to Instagram and more on the website.
Aubameyang said: “I’m so happy to stay here. It’s a great day. I want to stay here and become an Arsenal legend. I want to become an Arsenal legend, to leave a legacy.
“Arsenal fans, as you know, I’ve just signed da ting! It’s done, I’m really happy to be staying here. This is my home. It’s a great day. I just can’t wait for you to be back here.”
That is a huge boost for Arsenal to be able to keep their top scorer and they are also confident that Alexandre Lacazette will stay.

But Arsenal are still in the market and Mikel Arteta is expecting more comings and goings in the transfer window as they want to raise cash to push for two more midfielders.
Arsenal still want Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey who is keen to move to the Emirates this summer even though his club want in excess of £50m.
They also want Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar but the French club want more than £40m and Arsenal will have to sell now before they can buy to raise funds but their business is not over.
Emiliano Martinez is poised to join Aston Villa while Sead Kolasinac, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira are surplus to requirements and will be allowed to leave.
Torreira looks set to move to Italy while West Ham are interested in Kolasinac and Valencia are keen on Guendouzi after Arsenal could not offload him in a player-plus-cash deal for either Aouar or Partey.
They do not want to lose Hector Bellerin but Paris Saint Germain are interested and if the French club push for a deal and they cannot sell others then that could still happen.
