Sam Thompson breaks silence after Zara McDermott split ahead of ‘crisis talks’

Sam Thompson has broken his silence following his shock split from Zara McDermott.
Former Love Island star Zara and Made in Chelsea’s Sam were reported to have split earlier this week, with rumours surfacing that Zara may have cheated.
Now he’s taken to Instagram with a snap of himself and Pete Wicks, penning: “Thank you so much for putting up with me for the past week @p_wicks01.
“I’m incredibly lucky to have people I can lean on when I’m down.
“I know you’re not the soppy type, but you really are the brother I never had. I love you mate #WEGOAGAIN good to see I havnt aged you over the past 6 days.”
Zara is said to trying to salvage her relationship with Sam amid the cheating rumours.
Sam left to film for Channel 4’s The Circle, but now an insider claims that Zara has vowed to regain his trust and that she’s “fighting so hard to get him back.”
“Their relationship is hanging in the balance,” a source said, “Sam left to film The Circle saying he couldn’t be with Zara right now.”
The source added to The Sun : “She’s fighting so hard to get him back. She’s going to do everything she can to prove he can trust her again.”

They went on to say that Zara “loves [Sam] so much”, and that there are plans to meet up and chat once Sam’s returned.
“It’ll be make or break for their relationship,” the insider concluded.
Meanwhile, another source told MailOnline that Zara has moved back to her parents place in Essex to clear her head.
Their split comes not long after Sam admitted he may propose at some point.
Quizzed on Celebs Go Dating about any possible wedding bells, the cheeky chappy told Paul C Brunson: “I will, I actually will.”

They first announced their romance back in May 2019, Sam revealing that Zara had slid into his DMs.
But he’d also been dropping likes on her Insta posts to “let her know I was there.”
Sam has dated a number of his Made in Chelsea co-stars over the years, including Sophie Habboo, who’s now loved up with Jamie Laing.

Zara, meanwhile, rocketed to fame during 2018’s Love Island, coupling up with Adam Collard.
Yesterday saw her share her first social media post amid the cheating rumours.
Zara posed in front of a mirror in a bikini that showed off her incredible curves, writing only “Black and white” alongside a black heart emoji.
Mirror Online has contacted reps for Zara and Sam for comment.
