Paris Hilton has explained why she thinks Keeping Up With The Kardashians has to come to an end – insisting the famous family needs a break from the spotlight.

Paris’ pal and former employee Kim Kardashian dropped the bombshell news earlier this week that 2021 would mark the end of the reality smash.

And after a whopping 20 seasons, “original socialite” Paris totally understands why the family have decided to step back from the show.

She hasn’t yet spoken with the Kardashian-Jenner clan about their show’s end, but reckons they want to move on to focus on their businesses and family life.

Paris herself boasted a hugely popular reality show, The Simple Life, which ran between 2003 and 2007.

Paris and Kim are old friends

“Just with The Simple Life, I was just over it,” she told Entertainment Tonight, “I wanted to just focus on my business.

“They have huge business empires. I am sure they want to spend their time doing that and being with [their] families.”

Paris added: “And after 20 seasons, I think they are ready to just live their life and not be on camera every second.”

Kim first started to make headlines when she hit up classy spots with Paris

They’ve known each other since they were children, with Kim crediting Paris with ‘giving [her] a career’

Paris and Kim have been pals since childhood, with Kim even starting to hit the headlines as she hit up A-list hot spots with Paris.

Paris had brought her on board for her fashion talents, giving her a job as a stylist and closet organiser.

Hotel heiress recently claimed Kim had thanked her for giving her the platform to forge ahead with her and her family’s reality careers.

Kim even gushed on an episode of KUWTK that Paris “literally gave me a career.”

Kim took to Instagram on Monday, penning: “To our amazing fans –

“It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Paris said the family likely want to focus on business and family

“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.

“We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”

She added that 2021 would see the final season, and expressed gratitude to “everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years.”
