Jackass star Stevie Lee’s glittering career from wrestling pro to Hollywood fame

Jackass legend Stevie Lee Richardson boasted an epic career that had taken him from wrestling rings to Hollywood.
Tributes have poured in for the TNA Wrestling star – known as Puppet The Psycho Dwarf – after his family confirmed his ‘unexpected death ‘ at 54.
Many remember him for his appearance on Jackass 3D, but his television career even took him to the heights of Hollywood before his death.
Stevie, who stood at a height of 4 foot 4, was not shy of the spotlight and began his career by training as an actor.
According to the New York Times, Lee occasionally performed in Shakespeare before falling into stunt work .
As his name continued to gain fame, the Chicago-based star then cast his sights onto the world of wrestling.

In 1995, Stevie founded wrestling group the ‘Bloody Midgets’ in Chicago and their shows became an instant hit.
He continued his ascent to fame in the earlier 2000s when he made several appearances as a pro wrestler with Total Nonstop Action wrestling (TNA).
Borne from the ‘Bloody Midgets’, a television show followed called the Half Pint Brawlers.

The explosive show followed Stevie and his group of wrestlers as they jumped into rings around the country.
The show, which included garish scenes full of ring dives, broken glass and staplers, took the team to Mexico and several US states.
That same year he starred in Jackass 3D and had firmly made a name for himself in the wrestling world.

“We love our jobs,” Richardson reportedly told the Charleston Post.
“We get drunk, we go wrestle and we pick up chicks. What else is there in life?”
Aside from his successful wrestling career, Richardson’s acting background saw the star appear in several Hollywood productions.
In 2013, Stevie starred in Oz the Great and Powerful.
He then caught the eye of the American Horror Story producers, who bagged the talent for the popular television series.
His television appearances remained consistent up until his family confirmed news of his passing on Wednesday.

In a heartfelt statement, his family revealed that a GoFundMe page had been set up in his memory.
“Steve ‘Puppet The Psycho Dwarf’ Lee Richardson unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at his home in the morning,” the statement read.
“He was beloved by many and has many friends that were family, fans that adored him, but only his brother Jim left to take care of final arrangements.
“Puppet has put smiles across the world with his hardcore attitude and lifestyle.
“He is a legend in the art of Midget Wrestling.
“He needs our help to give him one last curtain call.
“Please donate what you can, share his memories with everyone, and share this fundraiser to give the Psycho Dwarf the best resting place possible.
“All proceeds will be given to Jim Richardson to handle the services/burial costs.
