Kris Jenner ‘cancelled KUWTK as Kim and Kylie threatened to quit’

Kris Jenner called it quits on Keeping Up With The Kardashians after an ‘ongoing debate over the future of the show ‘ raged for months,” sources have claimed.
Kim Kardashian-West dropped the bombshell news yesterday that their long-running E! series would be drawing to a close, capped off with a farewell season in 2021.
Now it’s said that the family came to the decision to end it after it became clear some members of the family didn’t not want to proceed with airing their laundry on the candid show.
An insider has claimed that Kim has enough on her plate as she deals with the aftermath of her rapper husband and presidential hopeful Kanye West meltdown over the summer.
Kanye launched his bid for the Oval Office over the summer in a tearful South Carolina rally, in which he claimed he’d wanted to abort eldest daughter North when Kim first fell pregnant.
He also launched a scathing tirade on Twitter, whose targets included his wife and Kardashian momager Kris, before apologising a retreating to his Wisconsin ranch.
The source added to The Sun that Kim doesn’t want to divulge anything too personal on the show, and that’s it’s become tough for her to find time to film.
Youngest sister Kylie Jenner meanwhile, is said to be looking to take a step back as her makeup brand is “making billions of dollars” meaning she “doesn’t need the show.”
They went on that Kylie – like her sister Kendall – struggles with the limelight, and wants to be more free to travel instead of confined to LA for filming.
Kylie is the only member of the family not to comment on the show’s demise following the announcement.
Kourtney, the eldest sister, quit last year, telling a magazine: “I was feeling unfulfilled and it became a toxic environment for me to continue to have it occupy as much of my life as it was.”
She did, however, make a comeback, but is now said to be “glad it’s over.”
The insider claimed that Khloe and Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick, are the only ones who wanted the show to keep going.
They remarked: “The ratings have been falling for ages and they’re such huge stars, they don’t need the show to make money – but ultimately it was Kim’s decision to take a break and Kylie and Kourtney’s exits that meant it ended.”
A second source stressed to the publication that it was very much a full family decision to end the show.
Mirror Online has reached out to reps for the family for comment.
