KUWTK fans blame Kanye for ‘cancelling series’ with recent rants and outbursts

The cancellation of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is down to one person according to fans of the reality show, as they point the finger at Kanye West.
The 43-year-old rapper is husband to Kim Kardashian, who broke the news of the family’s show coming to an end in a statement that she shared on Instagram.
There was much consternation on social media as those who love the show have shared their thoughts as to why a decision had been taken to shelve it.
It had been reported that viewing figures were at an all-time low for the series, with many people citing that the family’s trials and tribulations are played out on social media many months before they are seen on screen in the reality show.
Kourtney Kardashian had also announced that she was stepping back from filming and Kylie and Kendall Jenner had not been so involved without publicly stating a desire to not be involved.
Despite this, fans have theorised that it was Kanye’s recent outbursts on Twitter and rants about wife Kim and her mother, Kris Jenner, which have been the final straw.
Kanye was amid a bipolar episode, according to Kim, when he announced that he had been trying to divorce her for the past two years and that he wanted Kris to stay away from his children before comparing her to the dictator leader of North Korea.
One fan took to Twitter to hypothesise that this was behind the news on Tuesday.
They wrote: “I knew KUWTK was coming to an end the minute Kanye had his breakdown on Twitter. The Kris slander probably was a bit too much for them. #KeepingUpWithTheKardashians”
Another added: “Kanye loses his mind and ruins it for everyone. #KUWTK”
While a third summed up the feeling among many fans on Twitter, writing: “I blame Kanye West for KUWTK ending.”
Kim Kardashian announced the ending of the reality show in a lengthy statement on Instagram.
She wrote: “To our amazing fans – It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.
“We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.
“Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim/Murray, who’ve spent countless hours documenting our lives.
“Our last season will air early next year in 2021.”
