Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first European player to score 100 international goals.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner rolled back the years and netted with a sensational free-kick for Portugal against Sweden in the Nations League on Tuesday night.

Juventus forward Ronaldo is now just nine goals behind Iranian Ali Daei, who holds the record for most international goals (109) for his country.

Ronaldo has made individual accolades a trademark of his career and after hitting the 100 milestone will be desperate to beat Daei’s record.
