No first scorer bets on Foden or Greenwood in Copenhagen
[ad_1]
Well Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden were 2/1 and 7/2 respectively to score in Denmark.
But they’re now on their way home. So no jokes.
Instead we’ll focus on the chances of seeing a better spectacle than Saturday night’s snorefest.
Woken up yet?
The good news is that England should have shaken off some early-season rustiness in that deadly dull Nations League curtain raiser in Reykjavik, and in Copenhagen will face a side who will be altogether more ambitious than under-strength Iceland.
Hopefully.
A depleted Iceland sat rigidly behind the ball, invited England to break them down – and until time added on they couldn’t.
But with players like Christian Eriksen, Yussuf Poulsen, Martin Braithwaite and Kasper Dolberg in their line up the Danes have scored in nine of their last 11 games and will fancy their chances of making it 10 in 12.
They are 5/2 to beat England , but we still prefer the away win at 11/10 – with Danes’ attacking enterprise leaving space for Sterling, Sancho, Kane and co. to exploit.

That’s provided all three start, of course. Gareth Southgate has already indicated that he may make changes to ensure his side is fresh with the Danish challenge coming just three days after Iceland.
Those changes could make England vulnerable at the back and while Iceland rarely looked like troubling Jordan Pickford, even from the penalty spot, Southgate’s side has conceded in eight of their last 14 matches away from Wembley.
So Both Teams To Score and Either side to win at 8/5 is appealing.
In terms of goalscorer bets, Harry Kane is 10/3 first scorer and 11/10 anytime , and but for some poor officiating on Saturday he’d have landed that bet. We’re backing him again.
In terms of other possible scorers, Christian Eriksen is 14/5 to score at any time which doesn’t really tally with his record of 25 goals in his last 36 internationals.
However, most of those goals have come against weaker European sides and he looked lacking in match sharpness at the weekend when he managed just one effort at goal.
Centre forward Kasper Dolberg could be a better bet.
Playing for Nice in Ligue 1, he’s one player who has had a full pre-season under his belt. The French League hgave already played two matches and he scored twice at Strasbourg last weekend. That extra sharpness could prove the difference. He’s 13/5 to score at anytime and 15/2 to notch the first goal .
