Man Utd fans convinced Greenwood accidentally confirmed club’s next signing

[ad_1]

Manchester United fans believe Mason Greenwood may have inadvertently confirmed the club’s next signing with his social media activity.

Red Devils supporters were delighted to see a transfer for Donny van de Beek cross the line last week and have now turned their attention to Sergio Reguilon.

The Sevilla defender has quickly emerged as the club’s number one target, and United fans are monitoring the situation with a close eye.

It is for this reason that many spotted Greenwood and Reguilon had started following each other on Twitter, despite there being no obvious reason why they would.

As you’d expect, this has been interpreted as confirmation Manchester United are set to sign the 23-year-old for Spain.

One fan asked: “Very weird one to explain that, how do you make sense of Mason following Sergio, without the potential transfer cloud hanging around it?”

Another said: “It’s happening, lets go.” And a third wrote: “It means he’s coming soon.”

Manchester United are in desperate need of a new left-back before the season gets underway next weekend.

Luke Shaw is currently out of action with an ankle injury. At the time of reporting, there has been no update from the club on when he is expected to return.

Brandon Williams is also carrying a foot injury, although he is being assessed and may be back in time for the start of the new Premier League campaign.
