Ozzy Osbourne shock confession he once tried to murder Sharon

Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon have relived the moment the rock star calmly attempted to murder her while he was high on drugs.
The 71-year-old rock star woke up in jail one morning back in 1989 – seemingly oblivious to the fact he had tried to strangle his 67-year-old wife to death.
The pair have opened up about the horrifying moment their family was almost irrevocably torn apart by a drugs-crazy Ozzy during a new documentary, titled The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne.
Reflecting on the troubling night her life almost ended, Sharon recalled putting her then-young children Aimee, Kelly and Jack to bed before sitting down to enjoy some reading when an unrecognisable Ozzy wandered in to the room.
She explained, according to The Sun on Sunday: “I had no idea who was sat across from me on the sofa but it wasn’t my husband. He goes to a stage where he gets that look in his eyes, the shutters were down and I just couldn’t get through to him.
“And he just said, ‘We’ve come to a decision that you’ve got to die’.
“He was calm — very calm — then suddenly he lunged across at me and just dived on me and started to choke me. He got me down on the ground on top of me and I was feeling for stuff on the table. I felt the panic button and I just pressed it and the next thing I know, the cops were there.”
The incident took place when the couple lived in Buckinghamshire, England.
Sharon said the thought of her three young children – who are now aged 37, 35 and 34 respectively – was what kept her alive and to fight long enough for the police to arrive.
Corroborating the story, Ozzy confessed he had no idea why he found himself in jail the next day.
He said: “It’s not exactly one of my greatest achievements.
“All I remember is waking up in Amersham jail and I asked the cop, ‘Why am I here?’ And he says, ‘You want me to read your charge?’ So he read, ‘John Michael Osbourne, you have been arrested for attempted murder’.”
The documentary is due to air in the USA on the A&E channel tonight.
