Rita Ora and Jade Thirlwall lead famous faces going offline for Digital Detox

A number of celebrities have decided to ditch social media on Saturday.
Stars- including Rita Ora, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall and Love Island’s Laura Whitmore – are taking part in a campaign named Digital Detox Day, in order to raise awareness of mental health and how social media can impact wellness.
And the famous faces that are on board with the message took to Instagram on Friday to share their support for the cause – ahead of going offline.
Revealing that they are going to ditch social media for a day, celebs have been posting snaps where they show the palm of their hand – covered in a black circle framing the word ‘off’ to the camera.
Hitmaker Rita posted a snap of herself in a leopard print top and penned in the caption: “I’m switching off for my mental health with @IAMWHOLEUK on #DIGITALDETOXDAY #IAMWHOLE.”
TV presenter Laura decided to crop part of her face out of her offering as she modelled a quirky yellow sweater atop of a red dress.
She penned next to the image: “Well done @iamwholeuk I support a digital day of switching off for my own mental health. Tomorrow Saturday 5th September I’m taking a day off online. #iamwhole #digitaldetoxday.”
Also taking part is Little Mix sensation Jade.
The beauty sported a red T-shirt in her photo and wrote: “Tomorrow, Saturday 5th I’ll be switching off for mental health by taking part in #DigitalDetoxDay with @iamwholeuk #IAMWHOLE.”
Other well-known names who followed suit included former Strictly contestant Saffron Barker, Celebs Go Dating’s Anna Williamson and Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens.
