Strictly Come Dancing recruit Maisie Smith has already sparked fix rumours among fans after she told that she’s received dance lessons.
Now she’s demonstrated that she’d got what it takes to life the Glitterball Trophy as she performs nimble ballet poses.
In snaps of the 19-year-old EastEnders actress in a ballet studio, Maisie can be seen lowering her entire body to the ground as the splits her legs.
Another shows her performing a flourish with her hand while still in the same position.
On top of that, she’s actually already a Strictly alum – having taken to the floor with pro Kevin Clifton during last year’s Children In Need special.
The pair went on to win the contest having left the judges with no doubt as to who was the best talent.
Appearing on This Morning yesterday, Philip Schofield brought up her past Strictly stint.
“I’m not going to lie,” she laughed, “I’ve had dance training.
“I’ve done a bit of hip-hop and street dance throughout my time but I have no technical ability at all.
“So yeah, I feel like I was very lucky on that week. But who knows, I could be the dark horse.”
Another name confirmed for the autumn series has been Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing, who was forced to sit out the last series due to injury.
He was replaced by Kelvin Fletcher, who went on to lift the trophy with pro partner Oti Mabuse.
Invictus Games medallist JJ Chalmers was announced this morning, while comedian Bill Bailey, GMB’s Ranvir Singh and Radio 1’s Clara Amfo will also all be putting on their dancing shoes.
Max George – of The Wanted fame – was confirmed after much speculation, following in the footsteps of bandmate Jay McGuinness, who won the show in 2016.
Actress Caroline Quentin and the NFL’s Jason Bell were the first two names dropped.
The contestant on everyones’ lips, though, has been Nicola Adams, after it was revealed that she would be dancing in a same sex couple.
The boxing Olympic champ will be the first to do so on the show, after Dancing on Ice did the same earlier this year.
