Porn star Ron Jeremy charged with 20 more counts of sexual assault and groping

Porn star Ron Jeremy has been hit with 20 more counts of sexual assault.

Prosecutors in LA County have filed the 20 counts of sexual assault and groping after dozens of additional woman came forward following the adult film star’s arrest in June.

Jeremy has already pleaded not guilty to allegations that he sexually assaulted four women in West Hollywood between 2014 and 2019.

He now faces a total of 28 counts of sexual violence involving 13 women in LA County after the 67-year-old’s initial court appearance saw a deluge of women come forward with new allegations.

The new charges include five counts of forcible rape, with the most recent alleged to have happened on January 1.

The amended complaint was filed today during a morning court appearance to schedule Jeremy’s preliminary hearing, Richard Santiago, a spokesman for the County District Attorney’s Office said.

Los Angeles Times reports that just three days after Jeremy was charged, Deputy District Attorney Paul Thompson said prosecutors had received another 25 allegations of misconduct involved Jeremy.

They said 13 of those had occurred in LA County.

The newspaper says they’ve been contacted by an additional six women who worked in the adult entertainment industry who claim that Jeremy had raped or abused them.

In July, a law enforcement official had told the publication that the LA County Sheriff’s Department has received 30 new allegations of forcible rape and groping against Jeremy, involving alleged incident dating back to 2000.

The original criminal complaint, filed in June, saw prosecutors charge Jeremy with forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and sexual battery.

Investigators claimed Jeremy had prowled the Sunset Strip and used his celebrity status to gain access to women, who he then took advantage of while they were drunk.

Jeremy has been facing allegations of sexual assault and groping since 2017.

In the space of a few months, a video detailing past sexual abuse claims against Jeremy was viewed more than 200,000 times on YouTube, dozens of women have come forward with allegations of groping and rape and Jeremy has become a pariah in the industry that propelled him to fame.
