Channing Tatum mocked by eagle-eyed fans for only reading the cover of his book

Fans around the world gushed over Channing Tatum ‘s adorable latest snap in which he dressed up as a fairy.

The Hollywood actor channelled the “little girl within” to pen a special book for his daughter.

And while the snap turned out to be the sweetest thing in the world, eagle-eyed fans noticed that there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Die hard fans noticed that Channing was actually holding up just the cover of his new book The One And Only Sparkella – and not the book itself.

Showing off the finished product of his latest venture, the Magic Mike star donned fairy wings and a sleep mask and a little crown as he sat reading his book.

The hilarious gaffe was spotted by fans all around the world, who rushed to Twitter to share their discovery with others.

One eagle-eyed fan spied: “Channing Tatum may look strong, but he can’t even lift up a whole book. Here he is, pictured pretending to lift up a book.”

Another wrote: “This man reading a book sleeve,” alongside a laughing emoji.

While a third added: “There’s… no book in that sleeve.”

A fourth agreed, writing: “Look again and you’ll realise he’s *not* holding a book!”

Another laughed: “Don’t judge a book by its cover… even if the cover has no@book underneath.”

The picture book, which Channing has been working on during lockdown, is described by publisher Macmillan as “a charming ode to self-esteem and the love between a father and daughter”.

“Guys, I don’t know about you but things got a little weird for me in quarantine,” the 40-year-old wrote in the caption.

“I ended up accidentally locking myself in my 7 year old daughter’s room.

“And I ended up finding my inner child. So this is what I created for my little girl. From what is, I guess, the little girl in me. Thanks for reading.”

Sparkella, illustrated by British artist Kim Barnes, tells the story of Ella, who loves glitter and is excited about her first day of school. However, her classmates tease her for her love of sparkly items.

Ella decides to try to be less sparkly at school the next day so the other kids will not make fun of her, but with help from her father she learns the importance of having the confidence to be herself.

The One And Only Sparkella is set for release in May next year.
