I’m A Celebrity bosses set to spoil stars with lavish choice of hotel in Wales

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! bosses are set to spoil this year’s stars with luxury five-star accommodation in Wales.

Brave celebrities who join the show are usually treated to a stay at Gold Coast’s Palazzo Versace hotel when staying Down Under.

But this time around, stars won’t get to stay in their usual hotel, as the show has been relocated to Gwrych Castle in cold north Wales.

Show bosses are having to do everything they can to find the perfect hotel for their guests.

Here’s a look at the rumoured accommodation for I’m A Celeb when it returns this autumn.

The Celtic Manor in Wales

Celtic Manor Resort is a strong contender for the 2020 series.

The infamous hotel has all the luxe facilities fit for some of the biggest stars – boasting four hotels on a sprawling 2,000 acres of land.

And to top it off, its been named the UK’s best hotel nine times in 10 years.

Gwrych Castle is the new filming location

It’s likely this stunning venue could be the home to contestants who participate later this year.

There’s enough entertainment for those who get booted off the show early, as the resort has its own golfing facilities.

This year the long-awaited ITV show will be broadcasting from the ruined castle instead of sunny Australia.

Ant and Dec will be hosting the show as usual

It’s thought the show will have a medieval theme, including jousting, dungeons and fake gallows.

And the nearby Irish Sea could be used for some gruelling Bushtucker trials.

The beautiful estate is surrounded with 250 acres of gardens with a tree lined hillside.

Stars taking part in this year’s show might even face some ghosts, as the castle is haunted.

The bosses swapped sunny Aus for cold north Wales

Producers plan to set-up some cameras to try and capture any eerie behaviour during the night.

The ruins are said to be prowled by the ghost of previous owner, the Countess of Dundonald.

The floating woman in white is said to be angry that her husband stripped the castle of valuables.

Director of entertainment at ITV Richard Cowles said: “The Australian jungle is such an integral part of the show it was a big challenge to find a UK location where we could continue to deliver what viewers love about I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Jacqueline Jossa won the show last year

“But Gwrych will definitely do that – the Castle sits in an amazing and atmospheric setting on a hillside overlooking the Irish Sea.

“While there will be plenty of changes required as we move from New South Wales in Australia to north Wales in the UK, we are really excited to see how we can adapt the format and make the Castle our new home for a very special 20th series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! this autumn.”

ITV declined to comment when approached by Mirror Online.
