Singer Jade Thirlwall appeared to make a cheeky dig at pop star Jess Glynne in a new Instagram post.

The Little Mix star, 27, took to the social media app to share a clip of her in costume as a mermaid for the band’s recent holiday video.

Jade naturally made a reference to her fish tail in the caption, however, she also made a sly dig at a recent social media fail for Jess Glynne.

Captioning the video, Jade penned: “On my way to Sexy Fish… Hope they let me in teehee lol [fish emoji]”.

Eagle-eyed music scene followers will remember when Jess posted on Instagram earlier this year about being ‘discriminated’ against by the restaurant Sexy Fish.

Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall posted a funny clip that came with a cheeky dig at singer Jess Glynne

Sharing a mirror-selfie of herself in a hoodie, Jess penned back in July: “Dear @sexyfishlondon I turned up to your restaurant looking like this and you looked me and my friend up and down and said no you can’t come in and your restaurant was EMPTY.

“I then went to @amazonicolondon who greeted me and my friend with pure joy and we had a banging meal with wicked service. @sexyfishlondon please check yourself if this is how you treat people cause it’s rude, off putting, embarrassing and most definitely not inviting.

“We were made to wait and 2 members of staff came to look at us and make a decision based on our appearance. I think the attitude of your staff needs to change as that was just simply RUDE. Thanks and bye”.

Jess Glynne claimed she was being discriminated against back in July

At the time, Jess was accused of being tone-deaf for citing this as discrimination amidst the intense reaction in the United States of America following the death of George Floyd and the subsequent Black Lives Matter protests.

Jess went on to apologise for her use of the word ‘discrimination’, admitting in a minute-long Instagram TV video that this was a mistake.

She said: “I used the wrong word, discrimination. I take that back.”

Jess Glynne later apologised for her wording in the Sexy Fish controversy

Glynne went on to add: “Just want you guys to understand that I posted a picture of my attire as I was very aware of what I was wearing and it wasn’t about the dress code.”

We wonder if Jade would get into Sexy Fish, then!
