Actress Lea Michele has given her fans a glimpse of her newborn baby boy for her own 34th birthday today.

The Glee actress, 34, posted a cute image of herself holding her son from behind, giving fans a look at her son’s little head.

Lea simply captioned the post: “34 [sparkle emoji]”.

She and her husband Zandy Reich welcomed their baby on August 20.

A week later, Lea shared a shot of herself and Zandy holding their baby son’s feet with the caption: “ForEver grateful for this true blessing”.

Her Instagram profile bio now reads: It now reads: “Mama, Actor, Singer + NY Times Best Selling author.”

Commenting on Lea’s Instagram posts currently remain disabled following a backlash towards the actress over claims of her behaviour on the set of Glee.

The furore began after her former Glee co-star and African-American actress Samantha Marie Ware that she made her time on the show “a living hell” and highlighted what she perceived as “microaggressions”

Following further claims against Lea, she released a statement saying: “While I don’t remember ever making this specific statement and I have never judged others by their background or colour of their skin, that’s not really the point.

“What matters is that I clearly acted in ways which hurt other people. Whether it was my privileged position and perspective that caused me to be perceived as insensitive or inappropriate at times…

“Or whether it was just my immaturity and me just being unnecessarily difficult, I apologise for my behaviour and for any pain which I have caused.”

Lea Michele was at the centre of controversy earlier this year due to claims over her behaviour on the set of Glee

She added: “We can all grow and change and I have definitely used these past several months to reflect on my own shortcomings.”

Lea was later the victim of trolling following the death of her former co-star Naya Rivera earlier this year, prompting her to remove the commenting function on Instagram and also delete her Twitter account.

The actress now appears to be focusing all her energy into looking after her baby son.
