Kohli is currently self-isolating himself in his hotel room in Dubai, at the completing of which he will undergo a Covid-19 test before he can start preparing for IPL 2020 with his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates.
The 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League T20 tournament was originally supposed to start on March 29 in India. However, due to the unforeseen coronavirus pandemic, the season was indefinitely postponed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
It was only after the ICC’s postponement of the T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia that the Indian cricket board got the September-November window for staging the IPL.
The tournament will now be played between September 19 and November 10 in the UAE. All 8 teams are set to begin their preparation for the competition after completing their isolation period this week.
