Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma after the celebrity couple announced pregnancy on Thursday. Kohli and Sharma said their bundle of joy will be arriving in january 2021.
Both Kohli and Anushka made the news of their pregnancy on their respective social media accounts on Thursday morning.
“And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021,” Kohli tweeted while Anushka also wrote the same caption along with a picture of the two in which the Bollywood superstar can be seen flaunting her baby bump.
3-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took to social media to wish the power couple. The Chennai-based franchise, came up with a funny tweet, welcoming Virat Kohli to the Daddies Army — one of the franchises’ nicknames.

“All the yellov3 to you guys. Welcome to the #DaddiesArmy!” the Super Kings said in their social media post.
Earlier in the day, batting legend Sachin Tendulkar took to social media to wish Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.
“Congratulations @AnushkaSharma and @imVkohli. This little miracle will soon make your world more beautiful & happier!” Tendulkar tweeted.
Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka had tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy in 2017 after meeting for the first time in a shampoo commercial as early as 2013.
Kohli has often credited his wife Anushka for helping him grow as a person. Speaking to teammate Mayank Agarwal during the lockdown, Kohli had said Anushka had helped him become more practical.
“I give her full credit for making me see a different side altogether. I’m so grateful that she is my life partner because you learn from each other. I was a very closed person before, wasn’t very practical. When you see another person and know that your life partner has a different outlook to things, your invariably are challenged to see another point of view,” Kohli had said.
“That was something that changed my mindset completely. I was very closed, rigid, did not have an understanding of things that well. She made me realise a lot of things that are to do with the larger picture.
“My responsibility as a player, with who I am today and what that brings along with it. Setting an example for people in the right manner, the realisation of all these things has come from being with Anushka. I will always give her full credit for that.”
Kohli is currently in the UAE, leading Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2020, which will be played from September 19 to November 10.
