Carrie Underwood has recorded a song with her son Isaiah for new Christmas album titled My Gift: ‘It features my own little drummer boy’
Carrie Underwood is working with her immediate family for her next project.
The country crooner shared this week that she recorded a song with her son Isaiah, aged five, for her new Christmas album My Gift, which is due out on September 25.
The 37-year-old said there was going to be a ‘very special version’ of the classic tune Little Drummer Boy which will include her ‘own little drummer boy’ Isaiah.

The child will lend vocals to the song written in 1941 by the American classical music composer and teacher Katherine Kennicott Davis.
She also has son Jacob, aged one, with her husband Mike Fisher.
Her full Instagram caption read, ‘The songs on #MyGift are a mix of Christmas classics that are close to my heart and new songs that I hope will become close to yours.
‘The album also includes a couple of very special guests…I can’t wait for you all to hear “Hallelujah” written by and sung with the incredible @JohnLegend, and a very special version of “Little Drummer Boy” featuring my own little drummer boy, Isaiah. September 25 can’t come soon enough! #MyGift ✨.’

The singer has included several traditional favorite songs that focus on the religious aspect of the December holiday. ‘So much love has gone into this,’ she said on Instagram last month.
The songbird looked elegant in a long Michael DePaulo red gown with her hair down her back as she stood in the snow among trees for the album cover.
There will also be some original songs in the mix.

‘I’ve always wanted to make a Christmas album and it’s been a long time coming,’ the country music siren said.
‘I knew this would be my next music project after wrapping my tour last year, and I think it’s turned out to be the perfect time for an album like this, in this period of such personal and spiritual reflection.’
She then said, ‘For me, it’s more important than ever to focus on the true meaning of Christmas in a project like this.

‘Even though it has been a tough year for all of us, sometimes I feel like the greatest realizations can be inspired by the most difficult times, and make us more grateful for the things we do have and for what truly matters.’
She wrote on Instagram: ‘I realize we’re in the middle of a summer heatwave, but I couldn’t wait to tell you….at long last, my very first Christmas album.
‘It is coming September 25! So much love has gone into this and I cannot wait to share it with you!’
