Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Shalini Pandey and Vijay Deverakonda took to social media to celebrate three years of Arjun Reddy.
Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey’s Arjun Reddy, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga (R), celebrated three years of release.
Vijay Deverakonda’s celebrated film Arjun Reddy completed three years of release today (August 25). The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, also starred Shalini Pandey as the female lead. On this special day, Sandeep, Shalini and Vijay took to social media to celebrate the film. Apart from receiving positive responses, Arjun Reddy also drew flak from a section of people for glorifying violence and toxic masculinity.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared a special poster designed for the occasion and shared a fun note with it. He wrote, “Three years to AR. The most imp day in our lives. We all were brought to light like a lightning strike when a charge separates within a cloud. A little overwhelmed description. Thank u all for the love (sic).”

Shalini Pandey took to her Instagram page to share a video, which is a collage of special moments from Arjun Reddy. She captioned the video, “Three years of Arjun Reddy and a lifetime of memories (sic),” with a heart smiley.
Arjun Reddy hit the screens in 2017 and became a blockbuster hit not just in the Telugu speaking states, but across the country. The film was remade in Tamil as Adithya Varma with Dhruv Vikram playing the lead role. Shahid Kapoor reprised Vijay Deverakonda’s role in Kabir Singh, the Hindi version of Arjun Reddy.
Despite being a blockbuster, Arjun Reddy received the wrath of many people for glorifying violence against women. Last year, Malayalam actress Parvathy called out the misogyny in Arjun Reddy at a roundtable organised by Film Companion.
