Victoria Beckham ‘set to design Nicola Peltz’s wedding dress’ when she marries her son Brooklyn

She’s been keeping busy working away on both her beauty and fashion labels amid the coronavirus lockdown.

And, now it has been reported that Victoria Beckham is ‘set to design Nicola Peltz’s wedding dress’ when she marries her eldest son Brooklyn, 21. 

The designer, 46, is said to be working on creating a couture gown, and her future daughter-in-law, 25, is reportedly excited to ‘keep it in the family.’ 

According to The Sun, American beauty Nicola has decided to let Victoria design the dress, despite being able to choose from any designer she would like. 

Brooklyn recently teased fans by calling Nicola his ‘wife’ on social media but they haven’t walked down the aisle just yet. 

Victoria Beckham’s representative declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline. 

Brooklyn took to Instagram in July to announce his engagement to Nicola following reports he had popped the question to his ‘soulmate’ after just eight months of dating.  

Victoria proved there’s no rest for the wicked as she modelled a new dress from her eponymous clothing brand in a radiant Instagram clip shared on Monday. 

The former Spice Girl cut a typically chic figure as she twirled around in her glamorous ensemble, which featured a plunging neckline and floral printing throughout. 

Turning heads, the media personality oozed confidence in the frilly number as she insisted she was ‘ready for the day’.

Posh Spice ensured focus remained on her outfit by opting for minimal accessories, and accentuated her complexion with dewy make-up. 

The mother-of-four captioned her post: ‘Ready for Monday in one of my favourite dresses from the #VBPAW20 collection, the micro floral maxi dress x vb.’ (sic) 

Nicola is the daughter of billionaire American investor Nelson Peltz, 77. 

The Bates Motel actress is the youngest one of Nelson’s 10 children, with two children from his first marriage and eight from his marriage to Nicola’s model mum.  

The businessman is worth an estimated $1.6billion(£1.3 billion) and has been married to his third wife and Nicola’s mother, former fashion model Claudia Heffner Peltz, for 35 years. The couple have a total of eight children together.

Nelson and Claudia reside in a 27 bedroom mansion in Bedford, New York which is a favourite among celebrities such as Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively and Bruce Willis. 

They also own a sprawling $94million (£76million), 44,000 square foot property in Palm Beach, Florida, where Brooklyn has been seen spending time in the past.   

Nelson is a founding partner of investment management fund, Trian Fund Management based in New York.

He is also non-executive chairman of Wendy’s Company, as well as a director of Legg Mason, Procter & Gamble, Sysco and The Madison Square Garden Company.  

The blossoming romance between Nicola and Brooklyn – who have dubbed each other ‘soulmates’ – is said to have got the seal of approval from his parents David and Victoria, who are worth around £350million. 

A source close to the Beckhams told The Sun: ‘David and Victoria have very much given this relationship their blessing.

‘They have always been supportive of Brooklyn when he has had girlfriends, but this is one they really want to work.

In July it was revealed that Brooklyn and Nicola were scouting out wedding venues, with the couple, and Brooklyn’s mother Victoria, visiting the five-star Borgo Egnazia in Puglia, Italy.

Posh was overheard telling the bride-to be: ‘It’s your day, we want to make it special… so whatever you want.’   

But special comes at a price: weddings at the five-star Borgo Egnazia in Puglia, on the Adriatic coast, can cost as much as £3 million.

Brooklyn’s three siblings, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, also took the tour of the carefully landscaped grounds, which are modelled on a traditional Italian village.

The luxury hideaway is where Madonna spends her summers, famously celebrating her 59th birthday there in 2017, and it was also the venue for the wedding of Justin Timberlake and Hollywood actress Jessica Biel in 2012.  

It is understood that Brooklyn first fell for the charms of Borgo Egnazia when he visited last summer. 

The Beckhams stopped at the £135 million resort during a holiday to Italy and France.

They enjoyed a meal at its Michelin-starred, £180-a-head Due Camini restaurant before heading to the South of France to join Brooklyn’s godfather Sir Elton John on his yacht.  

The hotel, which has been described as the most beautiful in southern Europe, boasts two private beaches and a spa which is listed in the top ten in the world. 

It is big enough to sleep more than 400 people, with 63 rooms in the castle-like main building, 92 on the grounds and 28 villas. Rooms start at £545 a night.

Friends say the former Spice Girl is ‘extremely excited’ that her son is marrying Nicola.

One said: ‘Victoria fell in love with Nicola immediately. She is absolutely delighted that her son has landed himself a partner from such a wholesome, rich American family.

‘She hasn’t always approved of Brooklyn’s girlfriends, but Nicola is a dream come true for her. Victoria made sure she became part of the Beckham family very quickly indeed.’
