Another case of breakdown of bridge approach road has come up in Bihar. The approach road to the Mega Bridge has been broken just before the inauguration of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The approach road of Bangra Ghat Mahasetu in Chapra has been demolished. The cost of this bridge is 509 crores and CM Nitish Kumar is going to inaugurate it today.
It is being told that the approach road of Bangra Ghat Mahasetu was cut off due to the breakdown of Saran Dam in Baikunthpur. The approach road of Mahasetu has collapsed within a radius of about 50 meters. Top officials of Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation have reached the spot. More than two JCB machines and hundreds of laborers have been put on repair work.

About 11 km of the Chapra side of Bangra Ghat Mahasetu and 8 km long approach road have been constructed in Muzaffarpur side. The cost of Mahasetu and Approach Road has come to Rs 509 crore.
Earlier, the approach road of a small bridge built at Satghat in Gopalganj had collapsed. Minister Nand Kishore Yadav had said that there are 3 small bridges in the Satghat bridge. The approach of the small bridge, 2 kilometers away from the Satghat Bridge, is cut only by the rapid flow of water. The Satghat bridge has been built at a cost of 264 crores.
