Lootcase Review : loose script makes you feel bored, Still makes you feel light
Lootcase repeatedly fails to try to laugh. Kunal Kemmu’s career will not benefit from this film. The director made actors like Vijay Raj, Gajraj Rao and Ranvir Shorey useless here.
Lootcase Review
Crime Comedy
Director : Rajesh Krishnan
Artists : Kunal Kemu, Rasika Duggal, Vijay Raj, Gajraj Rao, Ranvir Shorey
The shift in the life of a common man, who considers life as duty, only changes. Sometimes he works during the day, sometimes at night. But this change of work does not change his fate. Nandan Kumar (Kunal Kemu), who works as a machineman in Savdhan Times, a newspaper in Mumbai, feels the same. One night while returning home from the press, he finds a suitcase full of notes, so now luck seems to have changed. But it is free sandal, when will Nandan wear it and apply tilak on his forehead.
Lootcase released on Disney Hotstar is the story of this black money. Which is an attempt to say in a comic style. This suitcase has so much money in a knot of criminals and politicians that the common man cannot earn in his entire life. When you cannot earn, then how can you digest the free money. The condition of Nandan Kumar’s house is that sugar ends every time. For ten years, her wife Lata (Rasika Duggal) wants to visit Shimla, but in the name of Shimla, she has seen nothing but chilli. During the holidays, the child’s water park cannot be canceled. Lata convinces her husband to do some extra work and let me also do pickle-papad business. If the four paise comes up then the household car will remain on track. The suitcase found in between these things does not solve Nandan’s problems. Perhaps it does not take much power to earn money, more power is spent to spend it. And how many rupees can a lower middle class man spend. The money in the suitcase belongs to Patil (Gajraj Rao), who is a minister. He searches from the underworld to the police (Ranvir Shorey) to get it back.

The film revolves between the search for this money and Nandan’s attempts to hide him and his wife, and spend a little. Especially Kunal’s scenes here are full of monotony. Soon they start boiling. The writer-director has unsuccessfully tried to create comedy with these solitary scenes of Kunal. Some of Kunal’s comic scenes seem to be baseless and beyond logic. The story lacks interesting incidents and this film, which is more than two hours long, seems to stay in one place for a long time. Ranveer Shorey’s entry certainly causes some commotion but it does not increase the pace of the film. The characters in the story are so far away from each other and so scattered that there are no chances of comedy. Comedy is team work and there is no such team in the lootcase that can make you laugh. While watching the film, in some places it seems that it is better to do pickle-papad business than to spend time in it. Not a single scene in the film makes you laugh. Go tickle.
The writer-director tried to create comedy between Vijay Raj and his henchmen, who became underworld don Bala. But did not succeed. While Vijay Raj’s trek could become attractive. Bala is fond of the National Geography Channel and he teaches the goons to learn to make strategies from nature and animals as this world is also a jungle. When the henchmen could not understand his words, he would tell them every time why not yet subscribe to National Geography. Rajesh Krishnan made a good team of actors but could not produce scripts worth them. Kunal Kemu as an actor already has no special identity. Then such films cannot do anything good for his career. Whereas brilliant actors like Ranveer Shorey, Vijay Raj and Gajraj Rao went here in vain. The film does not end with any newness. Such climaxes have also appeared in films before. Yes, It is definitely that in the last twenty minutes the film tries to stand a little faltering but by then the Majma has been robbed. Writers and directors are unable to save the film from failure. Apart from a few good scenes, there is nothing special to see in it. By the way, it is a tragedy to laugh at a comedy.
