Tamil actress Vijaya Lakshmi alleged that harassment by followers of Naam Thamizhar party leader Seeman and Panankattu Padai’s Hari Nadar drove her to take the extreme step.

Tamil actress Vijaya Lakshmi allegedly attempted suicide on Sunday citing social media abuse and bullying as the reasons that drove her to the extreme step.
Using social media accounts, Vijaya Lakshmi has released several videos where she has accused followers of Naam Thamizhar party leader Seeman and Panankattu Padai’s Hari Nadar of harassing her over difference of opinions.
On Sunday, she posted a video on Facebook claiming to have consumed pills that would lead to reduced blood pressure resulting in death.
Vijaya Lakshmi also cited harassment by followers of Seeman and Hari Nadar as the primary reason that drove her to take the extreme step. She has demanded that the two leaders be arrested for subjecting her to extreme online harassment.
In the video she posted on Facebook, “This is my last video. I have been under extreme stress in the last four months because of Seeman and his party men. I tried my best to survive for my family. I have been humiliated by Hari Nadar in the media. I have consumed BP tablets. In some time my BP will be low and I will be dead.”
The actress had also added that her death should be an eye-opener and appealed to her fans not to let Seeman and Hari Nadar get away after what she claimed they did to her.

Going by the latest inputs, Vijaya Lakshmi has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai where she is undergoing treatment.
Seeman is the leader of Naam Tamilar Katchi, a Tamil nationalist party with a political presence in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Hari Nadar of political outfit Panankattu Padai, on the other hand, unsuccessfully contested the Nanguneri Assembly byelection in Tamil Nadu in October of last year.
