Hyundai Motor India has added a new Sport trim to the Venue compact SUV range. Hyundai Venue entered the country in May 2019 and has been one of the top performers for the automobile manufacturer in terms of sales ever since. Now that a new Sport trim has been incorporated, the Venue has become a more desirable package.

The launch of Hyundai Venue Sport also comes at a time when Kia Motors India is preparing to enter the compact SUV segment with the Sonet, which will make its world premiere on August 7. We have already witnessed the rather exciting sibling rivalry between Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The one between Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet might as well be nothing short of spectacular.

Hyundai Venue Sport Engine

Hyundai Venue has three BS6 powertrain options — 1.0-litre Kappa Turbo-GDI petrol (120PS/172Nm), 1.2-litre Kappa petrol (83PS/114Nm) and 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel (100PS/240Nm). You can opt for the Sport trim either with the 1.0-litre Kappa Turbo-GDI petrol engine or the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel motor. In the Sport trim, the 1.0-litre Kappa Turbo-GDI petrol engine has the newly-introduced iMT (intelligent manual transmission) and the 7-speed DCT automatic choices, while the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel motor can be paired with a 6-speed MT.
