Two people residing in the area lodged complaints against some “unknown persons” alleging that their houses in the city’s Bahadurganj locality were painted saffron by some people close to Uttar Pradesh’s Civil Aviation Minister Nand Gopal Gupta.

In their complaints, the Bhadurganj residents accused some people, purportedly close to the state minister, of getting their houses painted saffron without their permissions and assaulting them on objecting to it, Kotwali police station in-charge Jaichand Kumar Sharma said, PTI reported.
