PM Oli to impose Emergency in nepal

The political crisis continues as both groups of the Communist Party of Nepal stick to their stand. Meanwhile, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli wants to implement Emergency in the country on the pretext of Corona. He has met President Bidya Devi Bhandari to discuss setting up of health emergency. It is believed that Oli, who has lost the trust of his party with the public, wants to do so for the purpose of saving his government.

According to sources, President Bhandari has not made any promises regarding health emergency, but has asked the Prime Minister to ensure that differences are resolved through discussions between party leaders. The Nepalese Army is also not in favor of deploying troops for the Health Emergency.

PM Oli will again hold a meeting with Pushpa Kamal Dahal aka Prachanda, co-chairman of Nepal Communist Party, to resolve political differences. Prachanda is asking Oli to resign as party president and prime minister, but Oli is not ready for it. The two leaders held discussions for more than 2 hours on Wednesday, but with no results. The meeting of the party standing committee is to be held on Friday. Most of the members are against Ollie, but the signature of both the chairmen is required to pass any resolution. If a motion passes the Standing Committee, it goes to the Central Committee, where Oli supporters are in the minority.
