The Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh is going to extend the cabinet after its 100-day tenure. About 25 ministers can be sworn in at the Raj Bhavan on Thursday. This time the Gwalior-Chambal division will dominate the Shivraj cabinet, as 16 of the 24 seats in the by-elections are from this region. In such a situation, Shivraj Singh Chauhan can walk the gamut of political equations by making new faces and especially Scindia supporters as ministers instead of his old mentors.

Let me tell you that Jyotiraditya Scindia wrote a speech about the exit of the Kamal Nath-led Congress government in Madhya Pradesh. Along with Scindia, 22 Congress MLAs including six ministers resigned and joined the BJP. After this, a government is formed in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chauhan. In such a situation, Scindia supporters are bound to dominate the Shivraj cabinet.

Scindia supporters Tulsi Silavat and Govind Singh Rajput have joined the Shivraj government as a cabinet minister in April itself. In the expansion to be held on Thursday, 7-8 more MLAs are expected to be made ministers from the Scindia camp. Among these, Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Imarti Devi, Mahendra Sisodia, Prabhuram Chaudhary, Rajyavardhan Singh Dattigaon, Edal Singh Kansana, Bisahu Lal Singh and Hardeep Singh Dang are expected to become ministers.

Actually, the new stronghold of BJP in Madhya Pradesh has become Gwalior-Chambal division. Veteran leaders like BJP’s Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Narottam Mishra were already there and now Jyotiraditya Scindia has also been entered. There is a by-election in the assembly seats of this area. In such a situation, Shivraj’s special focus will be on this area, because this time the number of MLAs is on the game border. In such a by-election, it is considered very important.

If Shivraj joins the new face in the cabinet, then many old and veteran leaders may have to be deprived of becoming a minister, because only 35 ministers can be appointed in Shivraj cabinet. Six ministers including CM Shivraj are already in the cabinet. In this way 29 ministers can be appointed, out of which about 25 leaders will be sworn in as ministers on Thursday.

This time Shivraj Singh Chauhan can give a chance to a new face instead of old and veteran leaders in his cabinet. In the list of new faces, BJP’s ministers like Girish Gautam, Ramkhilavan Patel, Chetanya Kashyap, Mohan Yadav, Vishnu Khatri, Ramkishore Kanvere, Usha Thakur, Premsinh Patel, Arvind Bhadoria, Harishankar Khatik, Ashok Rohani, Dini Maravi and Rameshwar Sharma are run.

At the same time, Bhupendra Singh, Gopal Bhargava and Vishwas Sarang, who were ministers in Shivraj Singh’s previous government, are being considered to be once again. Apart from these, there is every possibility of making Arvind Bhadoria and Chetan Kashyap as ministers. However, there is doubt as to whether ministers in the previous BJP government, Rampal Singh, Sanjay Pathak, Rajendra Shukla, Vijay Shah, Gourishankar Bisen, Paras Jain, Ajay Vishnoi, Surendra Patwa and Vishwas Sarang.

Usha Thakur’s name is in the forefront for the post of minister from Indore area. BJP MLA from Indore Ramesh Mendola and Malini Gaur have been discussed, while Tulsiram Silavat, a pro-Scindia supporter from this area, has already been given a place in the cabinet. In such a situation, it is to see who gets a chance from BJP leaders. At the same time, Mohan Yadav, Chetan Kashyap, Yashpal Singh Sisodia from Malwa Nimar Zone, Vijay Shah or Prem Singh Patel from tribal quota can also be made ministers.

Names of Rameshwar Sharma from Bhopal, former minister Vishwas Sarang and Vishnu Khatri from SC quota, former minister Rampal Singh from Raisen are being named prominently. At the same time, along with former minister Gopal Bhargava from Bundelkhand, former home minister Bhupendra Singh, SC quota was also churned in the name of Harishankar Khatik. Any one of whom can get a chance, because Govind Singh Rajput, a pro-Scindia from this area, has already been given a place in the cabinet.

Arvind Bhadoria from Gwalior-Chambal, OBC along with Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Bharat Singh Kushwaha, a staunch supporter of Narendra Singh Tomar, are in the race for the post of minister. Rajendra Shukla or Girish Gautam can get a chance from such Vindhya region. Rajendra Shukla has been a minister before and is considered the Brahmin face of the party. However, Ramlallu Vaishya from OBC quota and Kunwar Singh Tekam from Dalit community are also in the race for the post of minister. With Mahakaushal, Shivraj can give chance to either Ashok Rohani or Ajay Vishnoi. Former ministers Sanjay Pathak, Gaurishankar Bisen and Devi Singh Syam from ST Kota are also among the contenders for the post of ministers.
