Three people were killed in a stabbing attack in the Scottish city of Glasgow on Friday and the suspect was shot by police, British media reported.

The stabbing took place at a hotel stairwell in Glasgow, according to reports in British media.
The suspect, who remains unidentified at the moment, was later shot by the police.
An eyewitness told Sky News she had seen several people covered in blood being treated by emergency services, and armed police on the scene, at around 1:15 pm (1215 GMT).

Confirming the incident, the Scotland Police said that the situation had been contained but a police officer was injured in the attack and is currently receiving treatment.
