UP – Seven girls become pregnant in the Girl Child Protection Home in Kanpur, Priyanka Gandhi targets CM Yogi
Seven of the 57 girls in the state government-run Girl Child Protection Home ( balika Sanrakshan gruh) in Kanpur district of UP have been found pregnant. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has targeted the Yogi government regarding the matter.
Kanpur: Seven of the 57 girls found in a state-run girl child protection home in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh have been found pregnant. One of these girls is also said to be afflicted with HIV. After this news came out, there was a stir in the local administration. After this, Kanpur District Magistrate Brahmdev Ram Tiwari said that seven girls in the shelter home are pregnant, out of which five girls have also been found corona positive. However, he says that the girls were pregnant even before being brought to the shelter home.

The District Magistrate said, ‘These girls were sent here by the Child Welfare Committees of Agra, Etah, Kannauj, Firozabad and Kanpur. All these girls were pregnant before being brought to the girl child protection home. Two girls found infected are being treated at Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital. The other three girls are being treated in a private hospital.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra targeted the Yogi government
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has targeted the Uttar Pradesh government after getting information about the case. Priyanka said that the unfolding of such incident shows that everything is suppressed in the name of investigation in such institutions. A media report tagged in a Facebook post by Priyanka Gandhi claimed that during an investigation into the corona virus at the Government Child Protection Home in Kanpur it was found that the girls living there were pregnant and one of them was HIV positive.

She said, ‘The entire story of the girl child of Muzaffarpur (Bihar) is in front of the country. Such a case has also come out of Deoria in Uttar Pradesh. He further said that the unfolding of such an incident again shows that everything is suppressed in the name of investigation, but very inhuman incidents are happening in government child protection homes.
