Terrible: 13-Year-Old Girl Raped By Father Multiple Times During Lockdown

A 35-year-old man allegedly raped his minor daughter on multiple occasions during the lockdown in Telangana’s Vikarabad district.

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped multiple times by her father during the lockdown period in Vikarabad district of Telangana. The survivor had been studying at a religious school in another district and had come back home before the imposition of nationwide lockdown in March.

The incident took place within the territorial jurisdiction of Karankote Police Station. The 35-year-old accused, a daily wager, had married four times. His first two marriages ended with divorce while his third wife passed away. The affected girl was born to his third wife. Presently, he was living with his mother, his wife, their son. As the educational institutions were shut in March due to COVID-19 pandemic, the teenage girl came back home.

Family members unaware of crime

According to a report by The Times of India, the minor girl was raped multiple times during the lockdown after she returned home. Moreover,  the family members were not aware of the accused man’s heinous crime. Reportedly, the survivor was last sexually assaulted before a festival which was celebrated recently. The accused threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed anything to anyone.

However, a few days ago, the survivor narrated her ordeal to her stepmother, who approached the police and registered a complaint against. The accused has been booked under Section 375 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and other relevant sections of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Another incident

In another incident, an 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped twice by her father in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district during the lockdown. The girl claimed that her mother was aware of her father’s crime but remained a mute spectator to it.

However, the girl’s parents dismissed all allegations levelled against them and said that their daughter was implicating them as they objected to her relationship with a boy
