Rewa, MP : Police lathicharge on migrant laborers seeking food in, also beaten up in Haryana

The Central Government has issued an order that it is the responsibility of the State Governments to take the migrant laborers safely to their home. In such a situation, the state governments are stopping the laborers by making temporary shelter homes at their respective borders. But in such a situation it has become a big challenge for the laborers to eat and drink. Hungry laborers demonstrated on the MP-UP border. So the police lathi-charged the hungry and helpless laborers.

After the Central Government’s order, the police started stopping the migrating laborers at Chakghat border of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Thousands of people gathered here on seeing it. The administration was not ready for such a crowd. In such a situation, the workers started shouting slogans demanding food. SP Abid Khan also reached the spot to handle the situation, but these too left the workers with a dose of blank promises.

But when the laborers did not get food till 11 o’clock at night, the workers started a ruckus. The highway has been blocked. On receiving the information about the incident, police were called on the spot in large numbers and then the police lathi-charged the hungry laborers.

Lathi charge on laborers in Haryana too

On one hand in the country, where the figure of corona infection is continuously increasing. On the other hand, migration of migrant laborers has also become a major problem. There was uproar and fighting between the migrant laborers and the police on the Haryana border as well. When the police nicked the sticks, the workers started running towards the fields. In this Bhagam Bhag, goods of laborers were scattered on the road. To escape the poles, the laborers ran away leaving their bicycle, Basta Beach on the road. This incident of clash between police and migrant laborers is from Kareda Khurd village in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana.

It is being told that a batch of laborers from Punjab and Chandigarh were going on foot to their village. As soon as these people reached Karera Khurd village in Haryana, the police stopped. According to the order of the central government, the workers were asked to go to a shelter home built in the village itself. Angry workers tried to block the road. In this case, the workers who had already stopped in the shelter home of the village also reached here, after which there was an uproar.

When the police tried to pacify the workers, the workers got entangled with the police. After this, the police also lost their cool. Two-three laborers have also been injured in this lathicharge. After this clash, the top officials deemed the workers to be extinguished and sent them to the shelter home and the road was opened again.
