Chinese Ambassador to Israel Du Wei found dead at home, police investigating
Jerusalem: Chinese Ambassador to Israel Du Wei has been found dead in his home. The Foreign Ministry of Israel has given information about this. The reasons for the death have not been revealed at the moment. Israeli police said that it is investigating the case. Du Wei, 58, was appointed envoy in February amid the corono virus epidemic.
Du Wei previously served as China’s envoy to Ukraine. He has a wife and a son who were not in Israel. Israel and China have good relations. During the visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Du Wei condemned Pompeo’s remarks. Two days later, the Chinese ambassador has died.
