Raipur Chhattisgarh: Sentinel hanged in jail premises, was to be married on May 2

Raipur.  a prison guard committed suicide by hanging at the Central Jail’s Training Center in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The suicide prison guard was originally posted in Bilaspur jail and brought a prisoner here for treatment. During this time he stayed in the training center of the jail. The name of the deceased constable has been described as Pratap Nirmalkar (29), who originally belonged to village Zinda of Kabirdham district.

According to information received in connection with this incident, Pratap Nirmalkar, a resident of village alive under Pipariya police station in Kabirdham district, was admitted as a prison guard three years ago. Since then, he was posted in Bilaspur Central Jail. Prior to the lockdown, he was attached to the Raipur Central Jail on duty and stayed in the training center here.

It is being told that the jail guard was engaged a few days ago and was to be married on May 2. Her marriage was currently postponed due to the lockdown. The deceased’s brother Santosh said that he was of a very happy nature. Two days ago, the whole family talked to him on the phone. At the moment, there was no feeling that he could take such a suicidal step.

The family has expressed doubts in this case and demanded a judicial inquiry. However, under what circumstances did the prison guard take this step, the curtain has not been lifted yet. Mobile phone, call details of the deceased are being investigated. Other prison guards living with him are also being questioned. The body of the deceased has been handed over to the next of kin after the Panchnama.
