Honor has launched three new smartphones, the Honor 9A, Honor 9C, and Honor 9S in Russia. Possibly as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, the company launched the new phones rather quietly in the country.
Spread across the budget to the mid-range segment, the three phones look quite interesting with specs sheets. Of the three, it is the Honor 9C that is the most interesting and is also the most expensive.
The phone comes with a powerful chipset and houses a big battery and a 48-megapixel triple camera set-up. The other two models also sport some impressive specs for the price. However, all three don’t come with Google Play support and instead feature Huawei’s has App Gallary. Here’s all you need to know about them.
Honor 9C specifications and price
Starting with the most powerful phone of the three, the Honor 9C comes equipped with a 6.39-inch IPS LCD with support for up to HD+ resolution and a punch-hole. The phone also flaunts a screen to body ratio of 90%.
Under the hood, the Honor 9C is powered by the in-house Kirin 710 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The software onboard the Honor 9C is Android 9 Pie. For cameras, there’s a 48-megapixel main camera sat next to an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie camera is an 8-megapixel unit.
Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh battery pack. There is dual-SIM 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity onboard. The phone is priced at RUB 12,990 (Approximately INR 13,000).
Honor 9A specifications and price
The Honor 9A gets a slightly smaller 6.3-inch IPS LCD with HD resolution. Instead of a punch-hole, we have a water-drop notch at the top for the front camera which houses an 8-megapixel unit. At the back, there’s a 13-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Under the hood, there’s a MediaTek MT6762R processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. On the software side of things, the device runs on the Android 10 OS with Magic UI 3.1.
The smartphone features a massive 5000mAh battery that can be charged through a MicroUSB port. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G, W-Fi, and Bluetooth v5.0. The phone is available in Russia for RUB 10,990 (Approximately Rs 11,000).

Honor 9S specifications and price
The most affordable phone of the lot, the Honor 9S comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD. As for specs inside, the Honor 9S comes with the MediaTek MT6762 SoC, just like the Honor 9A but with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The Honor 9S runs on Android 10 based MagicUI 3.1.
The Honor 9S’ cameras include an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The device packs a 3020mAh battery, MicroUSB port, dual-SIM 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth v5.0. This affordable phone has been launched in Russia for RUB 6,990 (Approximately Rs 7,000).
