95% increase in online child porn traffic, NCPCR sent notice to Google and Facebook

Online child porn traffic has increased by 95 percent during the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of the corona virus. This has been revealed in a research. Regarding this, the National Child Rights Protection Commission (NCPCR) has sent a notice to the legendary search engine Google, social media website Twitter and Facebook and sought its response.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has also asked Google, Twitter and Facebook to provide information about complaints related to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Pornography Material. Also, asked Google, Twitter and Facebook what kind of policy are they following to deal with pornography.

Earlier in a report, it was revealed that India is in the forefront of watching porn during lockdown. During the lockdown period, the traffic of visitors to Bharat Adult Sites increased by 95 percent. Statistics show that there was a 20 per cent increase in the number of porn content viewers in India before the end of the ban in late March.

Let us tell you that the Modi government had announced a lockdown till 14 April on 24 March to prevent the spread of corona virus. The lockdown was later extended to 3 May. Thus, there is a nationwide lockdown in India from 25 March. Due to this, people have been imprisoned in homes. Other public places including schools, markets, clubs, malls, museums are deserted.

Despite all this, the number of corona virus patients is increasing rapidly in the whole world including India. So far, the figure of corona patients in India has crossed 24 thousand 941. Of these, 779 people have died, while 5210 people have recovered from treatment. At the same time, the number of corona patients worldwide has reached more than 28 lakh 58 thousand 485, out of which more than one lakh 99 thousand 870 people have died. America is most vulnerable to this deadly virus.
