Tom and Jerry director Jean Dyche died at age 95
Gene Dyche, one of the directors of the favorite TV cartoon Tom and Jerry for people of all ages, has died at the age of 95. His Czech publisher Peter Himel confirmed on 18 April. He was found dead in his apartment in Prague on 16 April. He is survived by his wife and three sons born to his first marriage.
Eugene Maril Dyche was called Jean. Jean worked as a draftsman for pilots training and military in North America. He was removed from the job in 1944 for health reasons. On this, he started working in the art field and tried a career in animation.

Jean received a total of four Oscar nominations for the 1958 film Sydney’s Family Tree and later made films. He also won an Oscar in 1961 for the film Munro. He made 13 episodes of the classic cartoon characters Tom and Jerry. This cartoon series was composed in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbara. Jean was its third director, he wrote it.
