Former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq (Saqlain Mushtaq) has revealed a special thing on his YouTube channel which is shocking. Mushtaq has said that when he was in the Pakistan team, there was little discussion about Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar in the team meeting before the match against India. Mushtaq said that before the match against India, there was more discussion about the legendary spinner Anil Kumble in the team meeting. Saqlain Mushtaq revealed that Pakistan players used to fear Kumble more than Sachin Tendulkar and Sehwag (Virendra sehwag). In his statement, Mushtaq said that if the Pakistan team was afraid of any Indian player, those players used to be Anil Kumble. Pakistan batsmen used to live in fear of him. In the team meeting, the most talked about was how we have to bat against Kumble. The former Pakistan off-spinner said that Kumble used to be a more dangerous bowler than Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan on slow wickets. He proved to be deadly on a slow pitch by diversifying his bowling.
Mushtaq said that in the Delhi Test in which he took 10 wickets, I also took 5–5 wickets in that test match, but I had to work very hard to take wickets. On his channel Mushtaq told that Kumble may have been a spinner but his thinking was aggressive and he used to bowl with the thinking of a fast bowler.
Let us know that Kumble is the only other bowler in the world who has a record of taking 10 wickets in an innings of a Test match. Prior to Kumble, this feat was done by former England off-spinner Jim Laker. In the year 1956, Jim Laker took 10 wickets in an innings of the Manchester Test against Australia.
