At the same time, Singapore has banned the use of the zoom app for online education. This decision has been taken because hackers hacked the zoom app during the time the online class was running. Then pornographic images were hacked to the app and shown to the students, after which it was decided to ban it.
All students are taking online classes during the lockdown in Singapore. These classes were being taken only through the zoom app. In which two hackers interrupted the online class of geography. When the government came to know about this, they took strict steps on it. At the same time, the Ministry of Education said that this incident is being investigated.
“We are already working with Zoom to increase security,” said Aaron Loh, director of education technology at the Singapore Ministry. So that its security settings can be enhanced and these security measures can be made clear and easy. In such a situation, our teachers will not use zoom till resolution of security related issue.
Singapore is not the only country to be affected by teleconferencing upsets. The US Federal Investigation Agency FBI also warned people on March 30 to refrain from using zoom for the meeting as there have been reports of hackers issuing obscene messages or videos.
