In order to make the new generation students more creative, innovative and physically fit, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is introducing 3 new subjects for the 11th class from the session 2020-21. These 3 new subjects are Design Thinking, Physical Activity Coaches and Artificial Intelligence. CBSE said, “Design Thinking, Physical Activity Trainer and Artificial Intelligence have been introduced in keeping with the new education policy of 2019. It states that between Curricular, Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular or Academic and Vocational and Physical Activity There should be no separation. “

Vishwajit Saha, director of the Training and Skills Education Cell of CBSE, said on Tuesday that the board will introduce three new disciplines to make the new generation more creative, innovative and physically fit and to keep pace with global developments and workplace needs. Used to be.

He said, “Thinking is a skill that every human has, in such a situation the need of the 21st century is linked to logical thinking and problem solving. Design thinking is a systematic process of thinking that opens the horizon of creativity and even enables thinkers to give new and innovative solutions to problems. ”

Saha said that the course related to physical activity trainer will not only improve the skills of the instructors but will also improve life skills. He said that artificial intelligence also has an important place in today’s time.      

Explain that apart from these new programs, CBSE Board is already offering 17 skill subjects at secondary level and 37 skill subjects at senior secondary level. The purpose of offering these subjects is to improve skills and skills in new generation students and to make them aware of new career options. The board has requested schools to choose one or more skill courses for students of class 9th and 11th and start offering students from session 2020-21.
