Aadhaar-voter card correction mistakes while sitting at home in lockdown

Actually, you can fix the flaws associated with Aadhar card and Voter ID card online from home. The advantage will be that by the time the lockdown opens, these deficiencies will be resolved online. The biggest thing is that you will be able to use this free time better. 

First of all, talk about voter ID card (identity card), if there is any kind of error in your voter ID card. For example, if there is any error in the name, address or photo, then you can get it fixed right from home. Voter ID is required as a document in many other things besides voting. 

How to correct voter ID?

For this, first one has to log on to the National Voter Service Portal (www.nvsp.in). After that you have to click on the section of your need. If you have to improve the name or address then you have to fill the online form 8.

To get the name and address corrected, the voter ID card number has to be filled in Form 8, along with the correct name and correct address will have to be entered. Apart from this, correct documents have to be uploaded for name and address changes.

Documents such as Aadhaar card, bank passbook, driving license or passport will have to be uploaded for address correction. After submitting the form, a reference number will come, through which you will be able to see the status of the application later.

If you want to change the photo of the voter ID card, then you have to go to the website and click on ‘Personal details’. Here you will get the option to improve the photo, where you can upload your new photo. Photo will be updated in about a month. 

At the same time all Aadhaar centers and Aadhaar offices are closed across the country due to the lockdown. Services are available only in self-operated (IVRS) mode on the Aadhaar helpline 147. Although UIDAI has given information that online facilities will be available during this period. During this time people can use the mAadhaar app. 

In such a situation, if you are bored sitting at home and want to improve the base, then you can apply online. Such as changing the address, or registering or updating the mobile number, such facilities are available online. Along with this, information about application states will also be found online.
