there should be a Match between India and Pakistan to raise funds to deal with Corona epidemic: Shoaib Akhtar
Rawalpindi. Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar once again insisted on organizing the match between India and Pakistan. In a statement on Wednesday 8 April, Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar said that he insisted on having a series of three ODIs between India and Pakistan. Shoaib says the funds collected from this will help fight against pandemics like Kovid-19 in India and Pakistan.
Since 2007, a bilateral series has not been organized between the two countries due to the deteriorating relations between India and Pakistan due to terrorist activities. Meanwhile, India and Pakistan have played only in ICC level tournaments.
Shoaib Akhtar said, In this hour of crisis, I propose to organize a series of three one-day matches between India and Pakistan. If Virat Kohli scores a century during this, you will be very happy or if Babur Azam hits a century, then you people will be happy. He said that when India and Pakistan are two such countries, when the match is organized between them, then the audience sees the match on a large scale. According to Shoaib, people are now sitting in homes and following the game. Shoaib says that it will get heavy viewership.
Shoaib Akhtar further said that the funds collected from the matches played between India and Pakistan should be distributed equally between the government of the two countries. This fund will help in the fight against Corona between the two countries. Shoaib Akhtar said that due to Kovid-19, there is a lockdown in both the countries at this time. Such matches can be organized only when the situation is under control. He said that the sooner it will be organized, the better it will be.
Rawalpindi Express further said that at this time every human is imprisoned in the house. Therefore, people will see the match played between the two countries in a big way. Matches should be organized at neutral grounds such as Dubai. Chartered planes should be arranged for both teams to deliver. According to Akhtar, it may be that there will be a return of bilateral cricket between the two countries. This can also improve relations between India and Pakistan. To deal with this crisis, a lot of money can be raised from it.
