Brazilian great footballer Ronaldinho and his brother have been ordered to be under house arrest. Paraguay judge Gustavo Amarilla told reporters that Ronaldinho and his brother would be placed under house arrest in a hotel in Asuncion.
On March 6, the Paraguay police arrested Ronaldinho and his 49-year-old Roberto Essis in a fake passport case. The police had prohibited the appointment of any person other than a lawyer.
Paraguay’s appeals court last month rejected a request to release the pair. Because of this, he had to spend his 40th birthday (March 21) behind bars.
The capital of Paraguay is in lockdown due to the corono virus epidemic. The judge gave his decision through a cellphone call. Ronaldinho smiled in a black T-shirt and matching headband. Which shows that he has understood the terms of his release.
Star footballer Ronaldinho arrived in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, for an event this month with his brother Essis. The police arrested him from the hotel where he stayed. Actually, he came here to participate in a children’s charity campaign. During this time Ronaldinho was also supposed to promote the book based on his career.
